I found my cavern deep below the mountain furnished as I'd left it years ago, undisturbed.
Too much for me, the mad world above, and here I'd laid up stores enough for many years. A side room held a small library.
One evening -- by the clock anyway -- I hit a low, and hurled all manner of objects at the far wall. Frustration finally began to flow away.
It started low, then booming out in a thundering voice..."COME IN!"
