Selfpublishing - the Best Game in town.pdf

"Any writer working in today's environment would have to be gullible or out of his mind to turn a manuscript over to a publisher.

Considering that the writer is going to have to do all the marketing and promoting anyway why settle for .86 cents a copy when you can as easily make $4.50?"

See the attached PDF for the full 2 page article.

"My products will not only be on the Internet but offered via every major distribution channel in the US, Europe and Canada."

"The "publishers" have been taking 80% of the profit but providing only 20% of the work - while the author provides 80% of the work but receives less than 20% of the profit."

"This is a criminal game that the artist can't possibly win.

Can anyone selfpublish? Yes."

See the attached PDF for the full 2 page article.

And watch for my upcoming article "Tsunami Alert" for an overview of the drastic forces converging to permanently alter the game of being a writer.

Interesting.

I'll sharpen up my shark knife, toss on my cast iron wet suit, dive in, and have a look.

I'm reluctant to throw a wet blanket on anyone's parade but after much research I've uncovered the (hands down) best deal on the planet.

It blows Lulu and those other two out of the water.

Secondly I would NEVER, repeat NEVER let a publisher give me a URL or the barcode that goes with it.

They now OWN your imprint. Not the copyright but the imprint. It's a little more complicated than I have time for right now - but if your friend hasn't already pulled the trigger - you should have him talk to me.

Why settle for 20% when you can get 100%?

I'm not kidding.

This game is shifting very rapidly. And there are sharks in the water and they smell blood. It's time to roll with the big boys or be shark-food.

P.S. Why settle for just a listing on Amazon when you can be listed in every major book buying catalogue in the US, Europe, and Canada? Including Amazon and every brick-and-mortar bookstore - to boot?

Friend of mine sent in two books to Lulu.com. Normally they take 20% of any books sold on their website. One needs to advertise or generate word of mouth promo.

However apparently he is going to let Lulu be the publisher, sign the books over to them to publish. They will assign the books ISBN numbers which then allows them to sell the books on Amazon, bookstores, anywhere else they want. I don't know if the percentage changes in this case, but I know Amazon likes money.

I'll keep in touch with him and report back any good news.

This is great, Sharon. There's no void of down-toned comm on our planet today. You make a great point about creating "good effects", not only in our art, but in our lives as we lead them. That is what Ron says in Route To Infinity- just being a bea…

Your verses leave me detached, suspended in the silence of me. And then the endless contemplations of "what if" so much beauty could fill the spaces of us all.
