If we were Gods
and steer this place,
the sun and stars
and human race,
where would you go,
where would you hide,
could you numb
your pain inside?
Would you pray
to gods above,
get on your knees,
to profess your love?
Would you sleep like
human beings,
like common sheep
with heaven’s dreams?
Would you wake,
oh,
could you start,
to hear the prayers
of human hearts?
Would it be
so much to bear,
to hear the pleas
and start to care?
Could you stand,
that you’ve been wrong?
You acted weak,
when you were strong.
If we were Men,
and steer this place,
