I arrived on Earth -- and there I became a certain kind of terrified for the first time in about eight hundred fifty nine trillion years.
For starters it was this god thing. What the heck, didn't they have any clean mirrors. God was only a reflection away. After all, the entire ageless basis of religious philosophy could be summed in three simple words, Thou Art God.
They actually had paper books written, printed, and constantly revised beyond recognition (hurled into industrial propaganda blenders) by human meat people claiming to tell the truth of the all. Hey, you want to know about the all, then go dive into and observe the damn all. It's ALL over the place!
Soon after I landed I began to realilze that I was expected to think, do, and say what others expected me to think, do, and say. Wasn't this sort of madness reserved for monkeys, caged parrots, and computers?
I mean never mind that people thought they were actually duration limited pieces of meat (the French chef thinks he's a sausage). Never mind that they listened to others far, far more intently than they listened to themselves.
They had these sprawling monstrosities called universities, containing strange language spew mechanisms called professor Ding Dong and his ring tone yes yes people sitting up on ivory pedestals like expensive warm meat popsicles, and people hanging on their words like laundry.
Hell, I could teach a guy more about life in three months on an open sea fishing boat in hostile waters than he would ever learn otherwise. And if he wanted to do the art thing, fine, I'd set him up in some back closet unpainted hole of an apartment in Hollywood with a single order: "Sell some art pal." If he wanted to escape he'd learn and he'd sell.
So much for "experts." How about instead trusting in personal observations by self in heightened states of spiritual awareness, an activity with at least a *chance* of resulting in correct data for one.
Anyway, I answered the question. I'm in orbit, contemplating the cute lie of more experts -- that sub-atomic particles aren't simply condensed thoughts of gods.
