Travis Allen: AFABW "SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD" Recipient

As a recording artist, Travis Allen has had the opportunity to tour the country performing as well as recording with several Nashville record labels.

To make ends meet when he was getting started in Nashville, he worked in the A&R department of both Asylum Records and Zomba Music Publishing. He then moved in to producing and engineering and worked with major label groups like "Confederate Railroad" "4Runner," and later "Diamond Rio," including the single "One More Day" that went to #1 on the Country Billboard charts.

Shortly thereafter, Travis visited L.A. and discovered the band, "Five Wheel Drive." It was the connections he made through this band that would ultimately relocate him to a wonderful community of talent that would eventually become clients and friends.

After a year of developing and testing different software protocols that would connect recording studios throughout the world using Pro Tools and Nuendo, Travis found a way to bring Nashville to L.A. and soon created "Nashville Tracks in L.A.", a studio service that would produce over 600 full band productions for independent artists in just a four year span.

During this period Travis surveyed his clients about the needs of independent artists. This ultimately led to the creation of My Record Label.net, a website devoted to empowering the independent recording artist to ensure they would keep 100% of their record sales. The company also offers affordable music videos and non-exclusive recording via Nashville Tracks in L.A., as well as web promotion; sending thousands of unique visitors across the web daily.

On October 11, 2008, Travis was honored with the 2008 Artists For A Better World International SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD "For stellar contributions to the creation of a better world through the arts and community projects" at Celebrity Centre International, in Hollywood, CA, as part of the AFABW Awards Event & Concert. The award was presented by AFABW Ambassador Harriet Schock.

I'm recording my new CD at Travis Allen's studio and for Myrecordlabel.net. He has done more for the independent artist in L.A. than just about anyone I can think of. I recommend him to my songwriting students and colleagues because his recordings and videos are excellent, tasteful and a great value. I was honored to present him with his award and, even though her prefers to be behind the scenes, he actually gave a speech! It was great too!

This is great, Sharon. There's no void of down-toned comm on our planet today. You make a great point about creating "good effects", not only in our art, but in our lives as we lead them. That is what Ron says in Route To Infinity- just being a bea…

Your verses leave me detached, suspended in the silence of me. And then the endless contemplations of "what if" so much beauty could fill the spaces of us all.
