Twin spirits dancing,
different universes
overlap, same dance.

Night, my body rests.
I reach skyward to kiss a cloud,
cavort with wind
and greet the moon.
I look around.
I see people who think
they can't see without electricity
or travel without machines.
I see them clutching their fears,
sufferingly bound
in chains self-made
of tissue paper.
I see the folly of my planet
and I laugh,
a pained, horrific laugh,
which rattles windows
and rustles leaves
but is heard by no-one.

Morning, my body wakes.
I go to my place of work
and plan my day.

Daring adventurers,
we had gone to sea atravelling,
only to see our tiny ship
become a splintery demise.
We had clung to our bodies
as if they were life itself,
and when they drifted away
you held me, and we smiled,
realizing that we were life
and the sea was ours.

We began to glide,
exploring oceanic mysteries
unknown to human limitations.
The expanse and the depth
of the great waters
became our abode.
