Leonid Vorobyev
My name is Leonid. I am a 54 year old Russian songwriter, arranger, mix & amp; mastering-engineer and producer.
I live in Moscow and basically work with Russian pop-stars.
About one year ago I started the World Music style project "Namgar." Namgar is the name of our singer ("white cloud" in the Tibetan language). She is a Buryat (people living near Baikal).
I lived in Buryatia for 21 years, and I was immersed in the ethnic Buryat music
My friends and I have made modern arrangements of the Buryat ethnic music and have recorded eight songs. Now we have released a CD titled "Nomad", and it will soon be available on CDBaby.com. The group has been organized, and we are in rehearsals to prepare for a live show.
In addition I have a dream: to complete the script I have thought up about ten years ago (and which I have at last translated to English), and to make a movie of this script.
