About Danny Kaplansky

Danny Kaplansky came to the United States in 1981 through an American family sponsorship five years after the Vietnam War. As he spent twenty-seven years on what everyone would call “The Land of Opportunity,” he began to realize in order to achieve his winnings, he would have to excel in English by voice and writing. With adamant ambitions for success and lack of a supportive family background, Kaplansky is eager to reach his financial freedom in alternative ways. Acquiring a real estate license in 2001 got him a step closer to mastering that English. Don’t let that handsome, boyish face fool you. Behind that multi-mask is a very caring, generous, and intellectual being sent to the United States with plenty words of love waiting to be shared and remembered. He’s his first generation of creative writers, and maybe the last.

LOVE BETWEEN TWO STARS

Love is like the Moon and the Sun.
Secret lovers for centuries old.
Playing hide-and-seek night and day.
Shining brigthly with their love for million years.
If we are lucky, we will get to see them hugging, kissing, and become one.
This love cycle starts over again for another decade to come.
Starting over again and never die.
My love for you is like the Moon and the Sun.
And I love you, like the Moon loves the Sun.

INTERNET LOVE

Who are you my sweet love at the bottom of this white screen on which I am writing?
Who is the girl living, breathing, eating beyond this white window?
I wish to touch you so that my dreams could color and change in reality.
I wish to know if you are playing a fantasy game or if you are deeply serious.
I long to love you forever.

LOVE ME NOT

Love me not for grandly grace.
Or for my perfect body and face.
Do not love me for any attractive part.
Nor for my steady beating heart.
It is easy to break or turn ill.
Is that your only reason still?
Dishonest and lies will make me sever.
Do not gaze upon another soul ever.
Love me not for I am lonely, so look me in the eye.
And keep on loving me, even if you do not know why.

FRIENDSHIPS

A friendship bracelet can symbolize a rose,
It takes time and patience to make, every one knows.
Friends are there to sympathize your neglected past,
Whether they are honest or true, you will know at last.
Overwhelming friendship will make you cry,
Should that friend leave you some day, pleas do not die.
So make another friendship bracelet that symbolize a rose,
And pass it to the new friend you chose.

I HAD A DREAM

I had a dream, that one-day, we would walk hand-in-hand through parks and
sidewalks,
Rivers and streams, along the beach shores under sparkling stars and radiant
moon beams.

I had a dream, that one-day, we could talk to each other with all the languages
of the world
Then we would never miss a word, miss a thought, miss the love in each
others heart.

I had a dream, that one-day, I will read bed-time stories to you in the dark,
by a glow-worm night light
So you can fall asleep reliving this drea… Continue

Welcome

Writers are crucial to the survival of a culture.

For a culture transmits itself to future generations through its fiction, in whatever form; be it novel, short story, poem, play or song. It is not the dry dusty textbooks that tell us where we have been nor where we are going but the storyteller who codifies who we are and who we wish to become.

Write on. . .
