The maelstrom of the gold ringed vessel had held my gaze as I had found no other place to peer than there, deep within, slowly absorbed and then fading from this candle lit evening of low chanting to other realms.
His strong hand held it fast against a crystal pane of ancient glass. And as the sun waned, and fell below the sky, I slowly flowed away into the night.
